Product Manager - Tech II, Direct Tax Technology

The role is responsible for ensuring the tax professionals of Amazon s Global Tax Reporting and Compliance organization (R&C) are supported in their mission with world-class technology and processes built. The impact of this role is evidenced by the ability to innovate robust and scalable capabilities that empower our customers and the organization to continue to meet the unique challenges of Amazon.
We are looking for a technical product manager with experience managing critical products with a global user base. You will bring a track record for developing and aligning vision, defining strategies and building programs & features for existing and new systems. You will have experience creating the product vision and roadmap artifacts and a proven ability to develop strategic vision based on data. In addition to defining, developing, and driving the roadmap and three-year plan for Tax system capabilities, you will also be responsible for leading new product ideation and development to have an impact on every business of Amazon. You must be able to influence across multiple teams, be a strong communicator, analytic thinker and have a history of delivering results. You will solve complicated problems with business oriented extensible solutions. You thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and are not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.
You will be highly analytical, and will work with customers in Amazon s Tax department to identify and prioritize needs, able to effectively influence up and across the organization, have a consistent track record of delivering results using business insights and analytics.


Key job responsibilities
Driving product direction for Direct Tax products which enables Amazon to quickly adhere to any legislative changes coming from anywhere in world, impacting any business and any product
Work with Tax business teams and engineering teams around the world
Establishing and leading solutions across multiple customer groups
Mining and analyzing data for metrics and decision support
Develop and drive new insights and tools to understand the intent of the customer for feature prioritization.
- 5+ years of customer-facing product development and product management, including defining, launching, and optimizing product and services experience
