Key skills for the job
Handling the entire shift operations of the High Level Assembly plant including product and people management. Scheduling and Executing Weekly / Daily / Shift Production plan and ensuring 100% compliance. Managing and reporting Work Orders , MUV Variance, Consumables via SAP transactions. Organizing CFT discussions to resolve day to day production related issues (4M). Identifying the training needs of employees and organizing Training programs by coordinating with CFT thereby enhancing employee skill and motivation.
Improving Productivity and Yield by identifying and implementing Best Practices. Ensuring Product Handling Storage are in line with Engineering requirements. Ensuring availability and usage of Right Tools/Jigs/Fixtures for respective Processes, Ensuring daily operations are in line with QMS EMS Policies. Fully responsible for defining, developing, and executing the NPI Processes. Supervise, equip and coach Engineers to ensure consistency in execution and performance to meet product Goals. Identifies strengths and weakness. Develop plans to address shortcomings to meet defined department goals.
Ensure best practices, continuous improvements and lessons learnt are shared among the team members. Must have Experience in NPI, Technology Transfer, Manufacturing and Engineering is required. Must possess Good communication, presentation, Problem solving interpersonal skills. Systematic approach (Eg: six sigma approach) to define the new manufacturing process to meet customer requirements on time. Arrive at the optimal process settings to achieve a Cp / Cpk of>1.33.
Complete understanding of the machines with their hardware and software required to realize the process. Participate in meetings with NPI / Product engineering to define and validate the product specific manufacturing tooling required for the defined process.
Participating in the CFT to identify and improve the process to achieve consistent yield. Working knowledge on Key EMS manufacturing processes like SMT process, Wave soldering, Manual Soldering, Conformal coating, Press-fit, Potting, Gluing. Should have complete understanding of PCBA Level Box build level testing and Test Setup including Hi-POT and other relevant testers. Responsible for meeting time, cost and quality targets. Monitor proto, pilot and early production builds. Record bugs and deviations and implement appropriate containment, corrective and preventive actions to assure the targeted quality yields.
Thorough knowledge of NRE s (exp. Stencils, Assembly Jigs Fixtures, Wave pallets, Special Purpose Jigs, Press Fit Jig, Dip Solder Jig) required in manufacturing along with its Cost and Materials used. Also ability to evaluate internal development compared with EMS partners according to the requirements. Ability to predict/or forecast manufacturing cycle times and yield to meet the TAKT and OEE requirements. Responsible for Line stabilization for all the projects. Understanding on Assembly Instructions CTQ requirements for PCBs, PCBAs and Box build Modules.
