It Support Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented IT Tech Support Specialist to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with a foundational understanding of IT who are eager to learn and grow in a technical support role. You will provide essential support to end-users, assisting with basic troubleshooting, system setup, and general technical queries.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

• Assist end-users by troubleshooting basic technical issues related to hardware, software, and networking.
• Resolve common problems such as password resets, software installations, and printer connectivity.
• Log and track support requests, escalating complex issues to senior support staff when necessary.

System Setup & Maintenance:

• Assist with setting up and configuring desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Install and update software applications under the guidance of senior IT staff.
• Perform basic hardware maintenance, such as checking cables, cleaning equipment, and setting up new workstations.

Network & Connectivity Support:

• Support users with Wi-Fi, LAN, and VPN connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot simple network issues, such as connectivity problems and slow internet speeds.
• Assist in managing shared drives and basic file permissions.

User Assistance & Customer Service:

• Provide friendly, professional support to end-users, helping them with common IT tasks and questions.
• Educate users on basic IT practices, such as password security, file organization, and data backup.
• Follow up with users to ensure issues have been fully resolved and satisfaction achieved.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Document common troubleshooting steps and solutions to build a knowledge base.
• Keep accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and user feedback.
• Assist in creating user guides and simple training materials for common tasks.

Technical Skills:

• Basic understanding of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and commonly used software applications.
• Foundational knowledge of computer hardware components and network basics.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for common IT issues (e.g., software installations, printer setup, simple connectivity issues).

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and eagerness to learn.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and seek help when needed.

Attention to detail and good organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous internship or part-time experience in a customer service or IT support role.
• Basic knowledge of network fundamentals (e.g., IP addresses, routers, switches) and understanding of cybersecurity best practices.

Shift Timings:

• 6:00 PM to 3 AM
• Work from Office
