Alyke - IT Manager - Routing & Switching (3-4 yrs)

Job Overview :

- We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our team.

- The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in managing IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems.

- You will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, managing IT projects, and working closely with other departments to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

- IT Infrastructure Management : Oversee and manage the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.

Technical Support :

- Provide desktop and remote support to users, addressing hardware and software issues on time, and ensuring minimal downtime.

Network Administration :

- Monitor and maintain network performance, security, and reliability by configuring and managing LAN, WAN, and VPN connections.

Hardware and Software Maintenance :

- Manage the installation, configuration, and upgrades of hardware, operating systems, and business applications.

- Data Backup and Recovery: Implement and monitor backup strategies to ensure data integrity, and conduct recovery processes as needed.

IT Security :

- Ensure all systems are secured from cybersecurity threats by installing updates, performing regular security checks, and responding to potential security breaches.

Vendor Management :

- Liaise with external vendors for hardware procurement, software licensing, ISPs and IT services to ensure timely deliveries and support.

Documentation :

- Maintain accurate IT documentation, including asset inventory, user guides, SOPs, and system architecture diagrams.

Project Coordination :

- Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects such as network upgrades, software implementations, or system migrations.

User Training :

- Provide training and guidance to employees on new technologies, software tools, and best practices in IT usage.

Compliance and Auditing :

- Ensure all IT operations comply with relevant laws and regulations, including data protection policies (GDPR, ISO standards).

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in IT support, network administration, or system management.

- Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems.

- Experience with networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.).

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to work independently and within a team.

- Certifications such as ITIL, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are preferred.
