Material Planner

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive engineering and supply chain expertise in a new cutting-edge field. Youll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates.

You'll contribute to establishing a robust and agile Supply Chain, enhancing our processes, and managing competencies across all verticals. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Supply Chain Planning, Procurement, Logistics), drive performance and transformation initiatives, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of expressing delivery needs to suppliers, monitoring supplier performance KPIs, and contributing to supplier selection with SC insights, but also participate in leading supplier performance improvements.

We’ll look to you for:

• Defining and implementing short-term and midterm actions aligned with our Supply Chain strategy
• Identifying potential gaps in the Supply Chain process and collaborating with teams to propose solutions
• Consolidating metrics and animating Management Information Systems (MIS) for decision-making support
• Effective management of internal and external supplier interactions and material planning
• Analysis and management of supply risks and impacts, prioritizing and setting recovery actions
• Driving supplier assessments and contributing to risk assessments and mitigation plans

• Degree in Engineering (ECE/EEE/Mech) with a background in supply chain, logistics, or business management
• Experience or understanding of manufacturing industry supply chain functions such as procurement or material control
• Knowledge of Alstom Tools like SAP GSI, Kinaxis, ASCOT, Qlik Sense, GSI BI, etc.
• Familiarity with production planning, procurement planning, and warehouse management processes
• A certification in supply chain management would be advantageous
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in IT Skills: ERP, MS Office tools (Word, Excel Macro, PowerPoint, Access)
• Language Skills: Proficient in English, fluency in Tamil appreciated
