Executive/Sr.Executive- Procurement Planner

Job Purpose- Monitor and ensure that strategic material planning processes are in place to enable operational and production continuity.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Liaise with the Production Planning Team and Procurement Team for timely procurement of material and to meet the customer demand.
• Liaise with other departments like Production Planning, QC, Supply Chain to ensure smooth flow of information and efficient coordination of activities.
• Plan and implement Material Production Scheduling/Planning System while managing operational and capacity constraints.
• Ensure that consistent materials planning processes are applied across the business.
• Ensure that material scheduling strategy and processes are in place and work effectively.
• Ensure materials are available to meet designated production schedule.
• Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns and purchasing trends.
• Monitor MRP forecasts, inventory, production requirements, and inventory transactions.
• Ensure material supply meets production requirements, specifications and quality standards with minimum stock levels, whilst optimizing costs.
• Analyse and escalate the current and future requirements of the critical / non-critical materials (BOM), including preliminary specifications/documentation and date commodity is needed.

• Managing inventory issues / risk, schedule changes, and cancellations and ensure that contingency plans are in place.

Technical Knowledge & Skills

• Sound knowledge of MRP Systems, material and capacity planning
• Familiar with the manufacturing processes and supply chain management
• Well-versed in production planning and forecasting
• Sound knowledge of inventory control and management
• Should have strong analytical skills
• Proficiency in Excel
• Knowledge in SAP or ERP Process
