Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Accountant specializing in Taxation to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and providing tax-related services to clients, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and offering strategic advice to optimize tax liabilities. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an in-depth understanding of local and international tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Tax Compliance:
• Prepare and file tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
• Ensure timely submission of all tax filings in compliance with local, state, and international tax laws.
• Review tax calculations and tax provisions for accuracy.
2. Tax Advisory:
• Provide tax advice to clients on various matters, including tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, and cross-border taxation.
• Advise on tax-efficient strategies for structuring transactions, investments, and business operations.
• Assist in dispute resolution with tax authorities.
3. Tax Research and Analysis:
• Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and regulations.
• Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues to provide clients with actionable insights.
• Analyze the tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
4. Client Management:
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on tax-related matters.
• Provide clear, concise, and timely communication with clients regarding tax matters.
5. Internal Collaboration:
• Work closely with other departments (audit, advisory, etc.) to ensure integrated and holistic services for clients.
• Mentor and train junior staff members in tax-related matters.
6. Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure all tax returns and filings are completed accurately and within the required time frames.
• Review and manage the risks associated with tax filings, minimizing potential penalties and audit risks.
• Implement and maintain controls to ensure compliance with tax laws.

Required Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant qualification (CA) or equivalent.
• Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in a taxation role, preferably with experience in both direct and indirect taxes.
• In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations (domestic and international).
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in tax advisory for multinational clients.
• Knowledge of Transfer Pricing and international tax principles.
• Familiarity with tax planning and structuring for corporate clients.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
