Job Title : IBM DS8884 Storage Engineer

Location : Remote, India

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced IBM DS8884 Storage Engineer to troubleshoot and resolve DC-UPS DC supply unit (DSU) E2-E1 errors on an IBM DS8884 (Type: 2834-980) storage system.

The role involves diagnosing hardware/software issues, ensuring system restoration, and coordinating with IBM support if needed.

Key Responsibilities :

- Troubleshoot IBM DS8884 storage system errors, specifically DC-UPS DSU E2-E1 errors.

- Resolve open events in the HMC console and restore system functionality.

- Conduct system health checks and ensure operational stability.

- Liaise with IBM support for firmware updates, patches, or hardware replacements.

- Provide technical documentation and resolution reports.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Hands-on experience with IBM DS8000 series storage systems.

- Strong troubleshooting expertise in storage hardware, power supply units (DC-UPS, DSU errors).

- Proficiency in HMC console operations and event management.

- Familiarity with IBM storage firmware updates and configurations.

- Experience working in data center environments.

Preferred Qualifications :

- IBM Certified Specialist - Enterprise Storage.

- Prior experience with IBM hardware support teams.

- Ability to work on-site if required
