Data Modeller

Role & responsibilities : The primary objective of the position is to play a pivotal role in our data journey by providing hands-on support to design, implement and optimize data models and database structures that support business critical processes that harness the full value of its robust and dynamic data landscape. The role sits within the Global Tools reporting Team and is tasked with delivering solutions that report on both operational and managerial health. The role requires intermediate to expert skills that enable the individual to deliver a high level of service and to meet the expectation from the business.

Preferred candidate profile :

• Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure data requirements align with data principles and guidelines.
• Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for transactional databases, data warehouses, data lakes, and more.
• Develop efficient data structures to enhance performance, quality, scalability, and reliability across data platforms.
• Ensure data models meet business needs are interoperable where possible and adhere to technical architecture standards, supporting various types of Data & AI use cases.

• Stay up to date with the latest technologies capabilities, and best practices.
• Provide guidance and support to the development team on the integration.
• Work closely with product owners and business stakeholders to define and refine the requirements.

• Collaborate with other architects and developers to ensure seamless integration of solutions with other systems.
• Document technical specifications, data models, and processes related.

• Identify opportunities for standardization and automate data maintenance processes.
• Foster a data-driven culture and advocate for the benefits of data management.
• Engage with leadership and functional leads to ensure alignment and support.
• Continuously improve the agile development process, incorporating feedback and lessons learned to enhance team productivity and efficiency.

• Lead the evaluation and selection of third-party tools and plugins to enhance the functionality and capabilities
• Foster a collaborative and empowered team environment, promoting effective communication, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

Educational Qualification : Minimum Bachelor's degree in IT/CS

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise data models, data structures, data engineering, or database design, management experience is a plus
• Proficiency in data modelling for data from different domains( Data Vault, 3NF, Snowflakes, Star)
• Proficient in SQL and RDBMS (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Synapse).
• Knowledge in Synapse analytics and large data model.
• Strong experience in data warehousing and big data technologies. Data Mesh/Data Product experience a plus
• Familiar with cloud data services and infrastructure (Azure, AWS)
• Knowledgeable in data modeling tools (e.g, ERwin).
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
