The responsibilities of the Short Films Producer are below, but not limited to the following: 1. Oversee all elements of pre-production, production, and post-production, including release,
promotion and digital distribution of the short films that are created. 2. Review and manage scripts, storyboard, budget, allocate resources, set deadlines, and
select optimal forms of media for projects. 3. Plan video shoots: scout, select and reserve shoot locations. 4. Host and run casting sessions and selecting actors. 5. Communicate clearly and effectively with everyone involved in the project. 6. Coordinating the activities of script writers, managers, actors, media team and other
personnel throughout the production process. 7. Reading and editing scripts. 8. Interpreting a script and understanding the story and narrative style. 9. Plan and run rehearsals, check teams progress and adhering to a production schedule. 10. Coordinate with the camera crew, art directors, costume designers, and musical composer
to ensure consistent creative execution. 11. Estimate costs and prepare budgets. 12. Working closely with the production team to create the film in its final form. 13. Plan and coordinate with other teams for the release, marketing, and promotion of the
short films. 14. Manage video libraries. 15. Evaluate analytics and work on continuous improvement of productions.
Must have a definite call of God to this kind of ministry role, with a strong passion for God s Word and depth in the Spirit.
Must be passionate about local church ministry, discipling, equipping and empowering people for Kingdom purposes.
Must be a visionary to see opportunities where APC as a local church and ministry can grow and fulfill its God s given mandate.
Must have prior experience in producing short films, with hands-on involvement in the entire production lifecycle, industry knowledge, and technical expertise in film production.
Video: Must understand various types of cameras, different lenses and how to create a particular shot. Familiarity with professional cameras (Sony Venice, Canon C500 Mark II or similar) or prosumer camcorders (Sony PXW-FS5M2 or similar), various HD and SD formats, preproduction/planning, studio and field production, lighting/grip and photography
Audio: Must understand small format mixers, compression, EQ, effects processors, audio recording techniques for studio and field, multi-track, and waveform editing.
Post-production: Must have worked hands-on with digital video editing, still and motion graphics design, and video compression for multiple delivery platforms.
The ability to handle productions additionally in Hindi will be a huge plus, though not required.
Must be able to come up with new ideas and envision what a film would be like before it is made.
Ability to research and gain a good understanding of various target audiences, so that short films can be relevant, engaging, and impactful for target audiences.
