The following provides an overview of the responsibilities that we presently envision for this role. These will be continuously updated as new initiatives are explored. 1. Strategic Leadership Planning:
Work with and report to the Senior Pastor to make decisions for IT platforms, software projects, technologies, etc.
Carry out the plans, directions and initiatives set out by the Senior Pastor to support APC and its ministries.
Oversee all IT teams as it relates to day-to-day activities and operations and ensure excellence in functioning at all levels.
Ensure cooperation between IT teams and ministries to be aligned with the vision, direction, and goals of the church.
Ensure software development systems, processes, and practices are continuously improved for increased efficiency and on-time delivery of projects.
Oversee IT budget and finances are properly administered. Ensure IT assets are tracked and managed.
Ensure that APC IT infrastructure and systems have high reliability and negligible downtime. Ensure security of APC s data/information. Ensure robust disaster recovery plan.
Evaluate overall performance of APC s software systems by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics.
Ensure all IT staff are well trained and kept current in technology, skills, and competencies.
Ensure that APC s systems leverage recent advances in technology for its ministries.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Must have a definite call of God to this kind of ministry role, with a strong passion for God s Word and depth in the Spirit.
Must be passionate about local church ministry, discipling, equipping and empowering people for Kingdom purposes.
Must be a visionary to see opportunities where APC as a local church and ministry can grow and fulfill its God s given mandate.
Must be a strong leader, organized, responsible, team player, and committed to excellence.
Must have an advanced degree (Masters or higher) or equivalent work experience in information technology, software development or related field.
Preference will be given to those with prior work at a multinational corporation with international exposure.
Preference will be given to those who have been actively involved in serving at APC, Bangalore.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS REQUIREMENTS 1) Excellent handle on technology with prior hands-on software development experience in
full-stack application development, related frameworks, design patterns, SQL and NoSQL databases, etc. Technologies being used at APC include: Dart, Flutter, Golang, PHP, C#.NET, Python, Java Script, and related frameworks. Databases include: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, SQLite, etc.
2) Knowledge of cloud computing (GCP preferred), microservices architecture, cloud design patterns, CI/CD, data analytics, and AI/ML.
3) Familiarity with both Windows and Linux platforms. 4) Ability to architect and design software systems to meet specific use cases, communicate
these to IT teams, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. 5) Strong organizational, leadership abilities, communication, and coordination skills.
