Role: Production Manager

Summary
The Production Manager role involves managing and handling Enzyme Production process of the plant. The key responsibilities include Lab Scale to Plant Scale production of Enzymes. The role will be a part of the companys leadership team and will report directly into the MD. The role offers an opportunity for rapid growth and will play a key role in the company's growth plans over the next three years.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

1. New Enzymes Development & Production:

• Upstream, Downstream expertise in handling plant equipment.
• Development of new and enhancement / improvement existing products/projects within the deadlines
• Innovation in products performance technology
• Provide R&D product and project updates on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis

2.Business Leadership:

• Coordination with SBUs for understanding of customer expectations
• Product formulations as per industry/market trends based on competitor analysis
• Plan & execute R&D activities, research, programs etc.
• CRM through outstanding products
• Guidance/ Awareness on Competitor’s analysis

3.Strategic Leadership:

• Stay up to date with industry and market trends relevant to the department
• Prepare production growth strategy and present to MD & leadership team
• Execute on the production strategy
• Maintaining & building close contacts with customer, supplier, and market.
• Production plan for coming year to be prepared, presented to MD & leadership team, and signed off during Q4
• Quality of contributions to company strategy as rated by MD & leadership

4.Organization Culture:
Influence a culture of transparency, hard work, innovation, and continuous learning across all the employees in the department Improvement in work environment, motivation levels, and overall mindset of employees in the department

Experience:

• Overall industry experience of minimum 3 – 5 years
• Specific experience of at least 3 – 5 years in R&D function across multiple KRA’s such as:
• New product development - Production
• Testing
• Implementing R & D policies
• Large scale production with expertise in handling plant equipment’s.

• Desirable experience: Experience in the biotech industry under enzyme technology will be an added advantage

Educational Qualifications

• Very good at Academics
• Ph.D. /M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Microbiology from a reputed university
• Certifications / trainings in the said field will be an added advantage.
