Role & responsibilities

• Assisting users with common technical problems like software malfunctions, hardware failures, or network issues.

• Providing support over the phone, email, or live chat to internal or external customers.
• Helping users understand basic functionality and features of hardware and software.

1. Documentation:
   
• Maintaining records of common technical problems and solutions in knowledge bases or internal systems.
• Documenting user issues, support requests, and resolution steps to help build a knowledge base for future reference.
2. Software Installation/Configuration:
   
• Assisting in the installation and configuration of software applications and systems.
• Updating software or ensuring users have the latest software versions.
3. Hardware Setup:
   
• Helping with the installation of new hardware or assisting users with hardware troubleshooting (e.g., printers, computers, or peripherals).
4. Collaboration with Teams:
   
• Working with senior support staff to resolve more complex issues.
• Participating in meetings or training to learn best practices and technical concepts.
5. Learning and Development:
   
• Gaining hands-on experience with common tools and technologies used in IT support.
• Shadowing senior team members to understand how they approach technical issues and solutions.
6. Customer Service:
   
• Maintaining a positive attitude when interacting with users.
• Ensuring users are satisfied and keeping them updated on the status of their support requests.
