Job Description

Role & resp

Lead Generation:

  • Researching potential clients: Identifying new prospects and businesses that could benefit from the companys products or services.
  • Building prospect lists: Creating and maintaining lists of potential leads through online research, databases, and CRM tools.
  • Cold outreach: Assisting in reaching out to prospects through cold emails, calls, or social media outreach (LinkedIn, for example).

2. Sales Support:

  • Preparing sales presentations: Helping sales teams put together presentations, proposals, or pitch decks for client meetings.
  • Customer inquiries: Answering initial questions or inquiries from potential clients and guiding them through the basic sales process.
  • Assisting with follow-ups: Ensuring that leads are properly nurtured by following up with potential clients after initial contact.
  • CRM Management: Updating and maintaining customer relationship management (CRM) systems with accurate information about leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.

3. Market Research and Analysis:

  • Analyzing market trends: Conducting research on industry trends, competitors, and potential new markets to help guide business development strategies.
  • Customer feedback: Gathering feedback from existing customers to understand their needs and satisfaction levels, providing insights into new business opportunities.
  • Data analysis: Collecting data to support decision-making, like customer demographics, purchase behaviors, or potential market segments.

4. Building Relationships:

  • Customer relationship management: Assisting in maintaining and nurturing relationships with both existing clients and new prospects.
  • Networking: Attending industry events (if applicable) or virtual meetings, and assisting in developing relationships with key industry players.
  • Communication with clients: Coordinating and communicating with clients via email, phone, or in-person meetings to ensure their needs are met and sales opportunities are maximized.

5. Sales Reporting and Documentation:

  • Tracking sales performance: Monitoring and reporting on the progress of sales activities, such as lead conversion rates and revenue generation.
  • Reporting on KPIs: Assisting in preparing weekly or monthly sales reports, including metrics like lead generation, conversion rates, and customer retention.
  • Documenting meetings and outcomes: Recording key information from meetings with prospects or clients, including action items, feedback, and follow-up steps.

6. Supporting Business Development Strategies:

  • Identifying partnership opportunities: Helping to identify and build partnerships with other businesses or organizations that align with the company's goals.
  • Supporting strategic planning: Assisting in the planning and execution of business development strategies, like entering new markets or launching new products.
  • Proposals and negotiations: Helping prepare business proposals and assisting senior team members with negotiation processes.

7. Customer Success:

  • Onboarding new customers: Assisting in onboarding clients, ensuring they understand the product or service and helping them get started.
  • Customer retention: Assisting in efforts to retain customers by following up on their satisfaction and recommending solutions or upgrades when needed.

8. Sales Training:

  • Learning sales techniques: Gaining hands-on experience with sales strategies, including consultative selling, relationship building, and closing deals.
  • Product knowledge: Learning about the companys products or services in-depth so you can effectively communicate their benefits and value to customers.
  • Shadowing senior sales team: Observing experienced sales and business development professionals to learn best practices and refine your skills.

9. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support:

  • Collaborating with other teams: Working closely with marketing, product, and customer service teams to ensure a unified approach to sales and business development.
  • Assisting in marketing campaigns: Helping with promotional activities, content creation, or event coordination to support sales efforts.

10. Learning & Development:

  • Training and exposure: Participating in sales or business development training programs to understand processes, tools, and strategies.
  • Developing communication skills: Learning to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and stakeholders in both written and verbal formats.onsibilities
