Accounts Executive

Role & responsibilities

1. Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system. Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts and financial documents.
2. Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts regularly. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in records.
3. Process invoices, purchase orders, and payments. Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue payments.
4. Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Provide financial data to support management decision-making.
5. Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations. Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
6. Track and categorize company expenses. Assist in monitoring budgets and preparing financial forecasts.
7. Support the Senior Accountant in ad-hoc financial projects. Stay updated on accounting best practices and software.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.

Required Competencies

1. Proven experience as an accountant with a minimum 1-3 years in a similar role.
2. Excellent record-keeping and accounting skills with a high level of ethics and attention to detail.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
4. Other Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
5. Good English communication, problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively.

1. Accuracy of financial records and reports.
2. Timeliness in completing reconciliations and reports.
3. Effective management of accounts payable/receivable.
4. Adherence to compliance standards.
