Job Description
Position Title: Chief Digital Officer (CDO)
Department: Information Technology
Location: Patna / Mastichak, Bihar
Reporting To: CEO
Objective:
The Chief Digital Officer (CDO) will lead the digital transformation of Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital to position it as a technology-driven eye healthcare organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CDO will oversee all aspects of the hospitals IT and digital strategy, driving innovation, operational efficiency, and business growth through technology. The role is based in Patna / Mastichak, Bihar, with furnished family accommodation provided and additional benefits such as a one-week leave for non-native candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Digital Strategy and Transformation:
• Develop and execute the hospital’s digital vision and strategy in alignment with its Vision 2030 goals.
• Lead digital initiatives to improve operational efficiency, patient care, and data-driven decision-making.
• Foster a culture of innovation and digital excellence across the organization.
2. IT Governance and Operations:
• Oversee IT operations, infrastructure, and service delivery, ensuring robust and scalable systems.
• Implement best practices in IT governance, compliance (ISO 27001, ISO 27701), and risk management.
3. Data and Analytics Leadership:
• Drive the hospital’s data strategy, including data architecture, analytics, and insights for clinical care and research.
• Establish and oversee teams for data engineering, analytics, and product management.
4. Cybersecurity and Compliance:
• Lead the cybersecurity strategy to protect patient data and hospital systems.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
• Work closely with clinical, operational, and leadership teams to ensure alignment of digital initiatives with hospital objectives.
• Manage vendor relationships and outsourced service providers for IT support.
6. Innovation and Technology Adoption:
• Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for adoption in eye healthcare.
• Establish partnerships with healthcare technology providers and innovators.
7. Team Leadership and Development:
• Build and mentor a high-performing IT and digital team, fostering skill development and collaboration.
• Ensure knowledge continuity by maintaining a balance between in-house expertise and outsourced support.

• Successful implementation of a hospital-wide data analytics platform within the first year.
3. Compliance and Cybersecurity:
• 100% adherence to ISO 27001, ISO 27701 & other certifications.
• Reduction in cybersecurity risks through proactive threat monitoring and mitigation.
4. Operational Efficiency:
• Enhanced efficiency in service delivery, with a 20% improvement in IT support response times.
• Seamless integration of digital tools with clinical and operational workflows.
5. Leadership and Team Development:
• Fully operational IT and data teams, with clear roles and responsibilities.
• Training programs established for IT staff and hospital employees on digital tools and security best practices.
6. Stakeholder Satisfaction:
• Positive feedback from hospital leadership and clinical teams on the effectiveness of IT and digital initiatives.
• Strong vendor relationships delivering measurable value.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
• MBA or equivalent qualification in management is preferred.
2. Experience:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT and digital transformation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in the healthcare sector is mandatory.
3. Skills:
• Strong understanding of healthcare IT systems, data management, and cybersecurity.
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and project management abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and drive organizational change.
• Willing to adapt and upgrade to rapid technological advancements.
