Position Summary
The Manager on Duty (MOD) ensures smooth hospital operations during their shift, maintaining high standards of patient care, staff coordination, and administrative oversight. They act as the primary point of contact for all operational matters and address emergencies promptly while upholding the hospital's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight

• Supervise daily operations to ensure efficient workflow across departments.
• Monitor adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
• Address and resolve operational challenges or escalate issues as needed.

Patient Care Coordination

• Ensure a patient-centric environment by addressing patient concerns or queries in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the medical, nursing, and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient care delivery.

Staff Supervision

• Lead and coordinate hospital staff during the shift, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
• Provide guidance and support to staff in handling operational and patient care concerns.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure staff are adhering to protocols and maintaining high performance standards.

Crisis Management

• Act as the first point of contact for emergencies, including medical, technical, or security issues.
• Coordinate with the emergency response team and external agencies as required.
• Document and report incidents promptly to senior management.

Administrative Duties

• Oversee admissions, discharges, and patient flow to minimize delays.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping during the shift.
• Conduct end-of-shift reports summarizing key activities and concerns for the next MOD.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospital Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in healthcare or hospital operations, preferably in an eye care/Health Care facility.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and make critical decisions.
• Proficiency in MS Office and hospital management systems.

• Certifications (preferred): Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or similar.
