Sr. Buyer

OVERALL OBJECTIVES

• Ensure compliance with Aker Solutions Policy for Supply Chain in all procurement activities
• Ensure commercial awareness throughout all activities, and seek commercial opportunities in information to Functional Area systems
• Review and approve supplier invoices

4. KEY DELIVERABLES

• Strategy and management plan for dedicated contracts
• Renewals and follow up software portfolio of contracts
• Cost savings
• Regular and ad-hoc status reports
• Continuous improvement proposals
• Onboarding of new softwares as per process requirements
• Delivering of goods and services for the Indirect Procurement segment

5. INTERFACES AND CO-ORDINATION

• Reporting to Senior Manager Corporate Agreement
• Performance reporting to IT
• Close collaboration with relevant teams particularly IT Operations and Indirect Procurement stakeholders
• Collaboration with support functions (legal, technical functions, cost control, planning, etc.)
• Suppliers and subcontractors

6. SKILLS AND PROFILE

• Preferably 8-10 years experience with software procurement process in the energy industry or

comparable businesses or 4+ years of experience in Indirect procurement)

• Competencies with handling software contracts in global companies.
• Good negotiation skills & quality focused
• Pro-active and energizing
• Fluency in the English language
• High professional and personal integrity standards
• Ability to handle high workload and stressful periods
• Good knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Systematic and analytical
• Ability to communicate with all in the organization and all levels
• Understand cost drivers, and capable of doing cost analysis
• Ability to develop continuous improvement projects
• Interface management
• Management of supplier relationship, and ability to engage suppliers for cost reduction and sustainable

improvements

• Experience in Indirect Procurement activitiescooperation with relevant stakeholders
• Safeguard the overall progress of assigned work scope to ensure that agreed commitments are met
• Ensure that all relevant systems are maintained and updated according to project requirements

Job Location is Mumbai but candidate should be flexible to relocate to Pune as well, if required
