Key Responsibilities

1. Plant Operation & Maintenance

• Oversee the operation, inspection, and maintenance of conveyors, crushers, stackers, reclaimers, hoppers, feeders, vibrating screens, and other coal handling equipment.
• Plan and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to ensure continuous operation.
• Monitor plant performance and address mechanical issues proactively.
• Ensure lubrication schedules, belt alignments, and gearbox maintenance are executed as per SOPs.

2. Troubleshooting & Repair

• Diagnose faults and breakdowns in mechanical systems and provide solutions.
• Coordinate with electrical and instrumentation teams for root cause analysis.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure timely procurement.

3. Team Management & Coordination

• Lead a team of mechanical engineers, technicians, and operators.
• Provide technical training and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Coordinate with other departments like production, quality control, and safety to ensure smooth operations.

4. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
• Conduct safety audits and risk assessments for mechanical operations.
• Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities and safety checks.

5. Continuous Improvement

• Identify areas for improvement in plant performance and efficiency.
• Implement cost-effective solutions for reducing downtime and enhancing equipment reliability.
• Recommend upgrades and modifications for aging equipment
