Job Description

Position: HR Operations Manager

Location: Dahanu

Department: Human Resources

Reports to: HR Head

Job Overview:

Must have experience as an HR in a Factory or Industry setting.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Operations Manager for our factory location to oversee key HR functions related to the employee lifecycle, labor management, and operational HR processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth HR operations in a fast-paced factory environment, handling employee relations, managing workforce discipline, and ensuring adherence to statutory and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Lifecycle Management:

  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and exit processes.
  • Facilitate the hiring process for factory staff, ensuring alignment with workforce requirements.
  • Develop and execute induction programs for new employees to ensure seamless integration into the factory environment.
  • Collaborate with line managers to assess manpower needs and develop workforce planning strategies.
  • Compliance & Disciplinary Procedures:
  • Draft and issue disciplinary actions, including show-cause notices, warning letters, and termination notices in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Conduct investigations into misconduct or policy violations, documenting findings and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Ensure the consistent enforcement of rules, policies, and procedures across the factory workforce.
  • Workplace Health, Safety & Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the factory environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the workspace is compliant with safety standards and appropriate for employee activities.
  • Manage audits and liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure all legal requirements are met.

Labor Management & Employee Relations:

  • Handle day-to-day labour issues, ensuring smooth relations between management and the workforce.
  • Address grievances promptly and ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees.
  • Monitor labour activities to prevent disputes, strikes, or other disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, factory regulations, and health & safety standards.
  • HR Operations & Administrative Support:
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure that necessary resources, tools, and workspace are prepared for new executives and employees.
  • Maintain employee records, ensuring accurate documentation of personnel files, attendance, and leave management.
  • Ensure the timely submission of HR reports related to attendance, payroll, workforce productivity, and other key metrics.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in HR operations, preferably in a manufacturing or factory environment.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, industrial relations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in handling labour issues, disciplinary procedures, and workforce management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in HRMS systems and Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in conflict resolution and negotiation within a factory setting.

Key Competencies:

1. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

2. Ability to build strong relationships with employees and management.

3. Attention to detail and ability to manage operational HR tasks effectively.

4. Strong organizational and time management skills.

Work Environment:

The role will primarily be based at the factory location and requires the ability to work in a dynamic and sometimes high-pressure environment. This updated structure maintains the flow of responsibilities while highlighting the importance of labour management in the factory setting.
