Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - Legal

An individual contributor, you will play a pivotal role in providing legal guidance and support to Air Works and its group companies. You will be responsible for advising on a wide range of legal matters including contracts, litigation, corporate issues, business structures, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), property, employment, and insurance issues. Additionally, you will be tasked with identifying and mitigating legal risks to safeguard the companys interests. Your key responsibilities will include:
Provide expert analysis and counsel on various legal issues encompassing corporate matters, business structures, M&A, property, and employment issues within the aviation industry.
Draft and review contracts, agreements, and related documents pertaining to services provided to customers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), confidentiality agreements, employment contracts, leases, and software licenses.
Analyze complex laws and regulations affecting the companys operations, including those arising from corporate structures and business models.
Represent the company and/or senior executives and managers in legal proceedings or oversee such representation by external counsel.
Collaborate with external legal counsel on intricate legal matters, ensuring the coordination and supervision of all work outsourced to law firms.
Proactively anticipate and identify legal issues that may impact senior management, and develop strategic solutions, particularly in high-risk situations with limited time for assessment.
Work closely with regional heads of finance, human resources, and compliance to review business practices, corporate structures, provide training, and conduct investigations as necessary.

Qualifications

Law Graduate with 5-8 years of post-qualification experience in legal practice.
Preferred experience within the aviation industry, although not mandatory.

Demonstrated proficiency in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various legal documents.
Exceptional drafting skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
