SEO Manager

Role Overview:

We are seeking a SEO Manager with a proven track record of scaling organic traffic significantly, from the tens of thousands to several lakhs of monthly visitors. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SEO, including YouTube SEO, and the ability to project traffic growth and prioritize SEO initiatives in alignment with our business objectives. This role offers the opportunity to directly impact our growth trajectory and eventually lead and expand the SEO team.

Key Responsibilities:

• SEO Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy that encompasses website optimization, content strategy, link-building, and YouTube SEO to drive significant growth in organic traffic.
• Traffic Growth: Demonstrate a proven ability to scale organic traffic from 15k to several hundred thousand visitors, employing innovative SEO techniques and strategies.
• Analytics and Reporting: Utilize analytics tools to monitor performance, analyze traffic data, and provide insights on traffic projections and the effectiveness of SEO strategies.
• Content Optimization: Work closely with the content team to optimize existing content and guide the creation of new content that is SEO-friendly and aligned with user intent.
• Technical SEO: Identify and resolve technical SEO issues that impact site performance and search engine ranking.
• YouTube SEO: Apply SEO best practices to enhance the visibility and reach of video content on YouTube, driving traffic and engagement.
• SEO Prioritization: Assess and prioritize SEO initiatives based on potential impact, resource requirements, and alignment with business goals.
• Team Leadership: Over time, recruit, mentor, and lead an SEO team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  

Requirements:

• Experience: 3-6 years of experience in SEO, with a strong track record of scaling organic traffic significantly.
• SEO Expertise: Deep knowledge of SEO practices, trends, and tools, including experience with YouTube SEO.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities, with proficiency in using analytics and SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs) to drive decisions and report on performance.
• Content Knowledge: Experience in content strategy and optimization, with the ability to work closely with content teams to produce SEO-friendly content.
• Project Management: Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to present SEO strategies and results clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
• Growth Mindset: A proactive and growth-oriented approach, with a desire to continuously learn, improve, and stay ahead of SEO trends.
