Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager - Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) to join our corporate development team. This individual will be responsible for the execution of M&A transactions, providing strategic advice, conducting financial analysis, and managing due diligence processes for potential acquisitions, divestitures, or mergers. The Senior Manager will also support senior leadership in identifying new business opportunities and driving the overall M&A strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic M&A Planning: Collaborate with the leadership team to define and refine the company's M&A strategy and objectives aligned with long-term growth targets.
- Transaction Execution: Lead end-to-end execution of M&A deals, including the identification, evaluation, and negotiation of acquisitions and divestitures.
- Financial Analysis & Valuation: Conduct comprehensive financial modeling, company valuations, and scenario analysis to assess potential opportunities and risks. Prepare financial reports and presentations to communicate findings to senior management.
- Due Diligence Management: Oversee and manage due diligence processes, including coordination with internal and external teams (legal, tax, accounting, and operational due diligence experts). Ensure risks and opportunities are identified and addressed.
- Stakeholder Management: Interface with senior executives, business leaders, and external parties, including investment banks, law firms, and consultants, to facilitate smooth transaction execution.
- Integration Strategy & Post-Merger Activities: Work closely with the integration team to develop post-merger integration plans and ensure the successful execution of the transaction, ensuring synergies are realized.
- Market & Industry Research: Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and relevant industry developments to proactively identify potential acquisition targets or divestiture opportunities.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Experience: Proven experience in M&A advisory, investment banking, corporate development, or a related field, with a strong track record of successfully managing and executing M&A transactions.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and M&A-specific analysis tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting software.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership capabilities with a proven ability to manage and lead cross-functional teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present complex financial and strategic data to senior stakeholders.
- Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex deals, manage multiple stakeholders, and resolve conflicts.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple high-stakes projects.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of M&A processes, legal and regulatory frameworks, and industry-specific trends.
