About the job:
Naxnova is hiring two dynamic professionals for the Strategy/M&A group and will be based in Corporate Office, Andheri (East), Mumbai.
This position will Report to the Group Strategy Head, and this person will play a vital role in driving business growth through the development of strategic plans, execution of M&A opportunities and in-depth competitive analysis.
Your responsibilities will include formulating and implementing business strategies, managing acquisitions from valuation to integration, and ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
The ideal candidates will have strong analytical, financial, and communication skills, with decent experience in Strategy or M&A.

Job Title: AGM/Senior Manager/Manager - Strategy/M&A (Merger and Acquisition)
Reporting To: Group Strategy Head
Working Day: 6 Days in a week (Alternate Saturdays Off)
Key Interfaces:
Internal Interfaces: MD and Senior Management Group Company stakeholders
External Interfaces: I-bankers and Consulting firms
Job Objective:
- Develop and implement long range business strategy for the individual businesses in the group
- Formulate inorganic strategy.
- Identify and execute business growth objectives through successful sourcing, execution and integration of acquisitions
- Conduct competition analyses and formulate ways for businesses to stay ahead of the curve through strategic interventions.
- Conduct research and analysis of the industry to come up with solutions to business problems and help to introduce these systems to businesses.
- Develop processes and models to have continuous review of business performance against stated strategy and take corrective actions in case needed
Primary responsibilities:
Business Strategy:
- Work on developing the Business strategy plan including identification and evaluation of inorganic and organic growth opportunities
- Drive the "strategic intelligence" agenda, capturing and analyzing information on macroeconomic factors, market trends, channels to markets, competitors, regulators, etc.
- Drive thinking around new trends, new products, competitor analysis and source opportunities for expansion of business
- Develop review parameters and processes for periodic and/or continuous monitoring of strategy execution across the business
- Creating and implementing contingency plans, defining roadmaps, and providing periodic recommendations
M&A/Inorganic growth
- Understand and support development of M&A strategy for relevant businesses
- Conduct Preliminary evaluation, strategic fit, valuation analyses
- Prepare business case, valuation and present it to internal stakeholders
- Plan and conduct due diligence on the target including taking charge of the financial and business diligence.
Support and evaluate other aspects of diligence
- Assist and advice in preparing bid documents, term sheets and other legal documentation, as and when required
- Interact with Business teams, I-bankers and management to identify and source acquisition and other related transactions for relevant businesses
- Plan and execute M&A integration with preparation and implementation of the 90/180 days' sales and marketing plan, formulate yearly targets, drive collaboration between marketing, sales, supply chain, finance and HR teams for successful execution of integration decisions
- Competition analysis and identification of market trends
Periodic tracking / analysis of:
- Competitive landscape for relevant businesses
- Track potential acquisition targets
- Competitive M&A activity
- Analysis of benchmarks
- Creating and implementing contingency plans, defining roadmaps, and providing periodic recommendations
- Coordinating with relevant stakeholders, both inside and outside the organization
Key Result Areas:
- Undertake and Deliver new Strategy plan as per vision and mission of the organization
- Monitor the business plan execution against the plan; develop review processes and models
- Source & execute M&As in-line with stated business strategy
- Successful integration of acquired targets
Competency:
- Analytical capabilities - analyzing business performance, structuring and presenting analysis
- Presentation / communication skills
- Financial analysis and building detailed financial models
- Experience in dealing with external customers and working in cross functional teams
- Knowledge / awareness of issues related to capital markets, regulatory requirements desirable
- Educational and Desired Experience Requirements
- CA or MBA in Finance/ Strategy
- Management qualification from top institution
- 5-15 years of experience in Business strategy/M&A or Business projects
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Experience as Specialist in business analysis firm would be an added advantage
- Hand on experience in an execution role in a large corporate or advisory firm
- Experience of working in Printing/industrials/Infrastructure/Real estate sector
- Being detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy
- Utmost personal and professional integrity when working independently, managing critical stakeholder relationships, handling confidential information, overseeing projects etc.
- Highly organized, disciplined, and self-motivated; able to set, manage and meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks with strict attention to detail.
