Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate Area Sales Manager with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of agricultural products. You will manage the entire area / location and build relationships from the ground up with farmers, distributors, and channel partners.
Key Responsibilities
● Manage the sales process for the region across both B2B and B2C segments, including
planning and executing demand generation activities.
● Assign tasks to Territory Managers and monitor performance.
● Engage with channel partners daily and maintain regular interaction with farmers or farmer groups.
● Oversee receivables to ensure timely payments.
● Participate in meetings to review performance and strategies.
● Break down monthly sales targets by channel and territory, and work towards
achieving the set goals.
● Contribute to monthly demand generation planning and ensure effective execution.
● Allocate resources efficiently to maximize productivity and sales outcomes.
Requirements
● BSc / MSc in Agriculture
● 6 - 10yearsofexperience in agri-inputs or micro irrigation
● Strong understanding of credit periods, channel margins, dealer and distributor margins, and credit limits
● Experience with direct farmer interactions
● Strong commercial acumen
● Role requires extensive traveling of more than 15 days a month
