Roles and Responsibilities

• Necessary support to the laboratory personnel in operation of laboratory equipment and provide any other assistance, if required.
• Plan and co-ordinate all aspects of regual and preventive maintenance and repair of the equipment, machines and utilities.
• Provide first level support to the laboratory medical equipments during their breakdown and normal maintenance.
• Plan and manage preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment, through recalibration.
• Ensure that the reporting biomedical engineer adheres to the planned maintenance activities like PM or periodic calibration etc. ff equipment in the laboratories.
• Co-ordinate with the vendor(s) for spares and service support. Ensuring breakdowns are attended on time.
• Ensuring PPM, health check, services, AMC & CMC of all utility equipments like UPS, DG Set, HVAC, Servo, ETP & STP, Electrical Panels and other utility equipments.
• Provide engineering support to all labs in terms of co-ordinating with vendor for service or any other issue pertaining to the laboratory equipment which affects the lab operations. Ensuring regular visits and self audit to the labs and taking corrective actions.
• SPOC for all Audits, SOP's, Record Keeping, Administration & Projects
• Maintain standards of quality and to ensure that the accreditation standards of CAP and NABL continuously satisfied.
• Ensure that all quality related documentation prepared by the reporting biomedical engineer is as per the required standard.
• Monitor and facilitate intra and inter-departmental activities pertaining to laboratory equipment and their operation.
• Represent Biomedical Engineering Department in committees, and attend management and other administrative meetings as appropriate.
• Periodically identify and list the asset(s) that need to be discarded and co-ordinate with the management for their disposal as per the process.
• Ensuring all licenses and compliances are opted for assigned locations. Initiating applications and coordination with authorities for respective task.
• To handle insurance related matters of biomedical laboratory equipment. Coordinating with central team and vendors for any insurance claim registration or reimbursement.
• Supervise the engineering and technical team, conducting regular reviews's and checks and sharing feedback and reports to RM's.
• Ensuring all new projects are delivered within timeline.
• Ensuring monthly review of assigned team on all admin, engineering and project activities.
• Ensuring 100% licenses and compliances of assigned locations. Weekly review of team for compliance and licenses and ensurance 100% achievement.
• Maintaining all trackers related to Compliances, AMC, CMC, R&M and Projects. Sharing the MIS and data as per schedule.
• Supervision, Monitoring and preparation of Admin & Engineering annual budgets. MIS related to budget vs expenses and sharing with reporting manager as per schedule.
• Visiting the assigned locations as per the schedule, preparing checklists as per process and closure of all observations. Managing reference lab admin operations as per assigned activities. Managing all assigned activities by reporting manager.
• Vendor coordination for all assigned locations. Processing maintenance and utility bills. Coordination with landlords for various activities whenever required. Saving in all assigned and misc. activities. visiting sites for inspection, providing inspection reports. Ensuring all guidelines followed as per the SOP. Ensuring all AMC's, CMC's and contracts are renewed on time.
• Good knowledge of path lab and diagnostics compliances. Good connect with licensing authorities and consultants in WB and NE.
• Managing compliances fresh applications, renewals and related activities. Keeping track on portal and excel.
