Unit Accountant

Role & responsibilities:

• Manage accounting of debtors and creditors, ensuring accurate records and reconciliations.
• Oversee accounting of sales and collections for the plant and depots.
• Calculate the landing cost of raw materials, considering all relevant expenses.
• Conduct product costing to support pricing strategies and cost control.
• Prepare budgets and cash flow statements to support financial planning.
• Generate Profit &Loss (P&L) statements and Management Information System (MIS) reports on a monthly basis.
• Assist in procurement planning to optimize inventory and cost efficiency.
• Prepare and submit statutory reports to the Head Office, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/ICWA/ MBA preferred).
• Proven experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and cost analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Good communication skills for coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in ERP systems.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and statutory compliance.
• Advanced financial modelling and budgeting skills.
