Job Title: Roll Shop Manager / Incharge

Location: Nigeria (Bachelor Status)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Roll Shop Manager/charge to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the roll shop in our long-product hot rolling facility. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in roll shop management or similar roles, specifically within the bar mill or wire rod mill sectors. This position requires strong expertise in managing maintenance operations, including hydraulics, pneumatics, EOT cranes, pump houses, and other critical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the roll shop operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of all activities.
• Lead the maintenance of essential equipment, including hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, EOT cranes, and pump houses.
• Ensure the proper functioning and safety of the long product hot rolling mills (bar mill/wire rod mill).
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and protocols to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
• Supervise a team of technicians and operators, providing guidance, training, and leadership.
• Perform root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Coordinate with the production department to align maintenance schedules with production goals.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement for roll shop maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and prepare detailed reports for senior management.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Educational Qualification:
B.Tech / BE in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory)

Diploma holders will not be considered for this role.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in roll shop management or as an Incharge, particularly in a long product hot rolling mill (Bar Mill / Wire Rod Mill).

Proven experience in the maintenance of hydraulics, pneumatics, EOT cranes, pump houses, and other industrial equipment.

Strong knowledge of mill operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance practices.
