Job Opportunity For Oracle DBA

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation and Configuration:

• Install and configure Oracle databases (versions 11g, 12c, 19c, or newer) in on-premise or cloud environments.
• Set up Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Oracle Data Guard, and Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management) as required.
• Manage Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for database monitoring and management.

2. Database Maintenance and Optimization:

• Monitor database performance and implement tuning measures (e.g., optimizing SQL queries, managing indexes).
• Schedule and manage database backups and recovery using RMAN or other tools.
• Apply patches and upgrades to ensure database security and stability.

3. Security and Access Control:

• Implement database security measures, including encryption, role-based access control, and auditing.
• Monitor and address security vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

4. High Availability and Disaster Recovery:

• Design and implement high-availability solutions using Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
• Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure minimal downtime in case of failures.

5. Troubleshooting and Support:

• Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks and application errors.
• Provide on-call support for critical database incidents and outages.
• Assist developers and application teams in optimizing database interactions.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Generate reports on database performance, incidents, and capacity planning.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

• years of experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and ASM.
• Experience with cloud database solutions (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS for Oracle, Azure).

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Oracle database architecture and administration.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills for database management and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with performance tuning tools like AWR (Automatic Workload Repository) and ADDM (Automatic Database Diagnostic Monitor).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) for automation.
• Understanding of backup and recovery strategies using RMAN.
• Exposure to data integration tools (e.g., Oracle GoldenGate, ODI).

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with development and infrastructure teams.
