Chief Resident Engineer (Main Bridge) - Execution Team

Required Qualification - Graduate in Civil Engineering.

Additional Desirable Qualification - Postgraduate in Construction Management / HighwayEngineering / Transportation Engineering / StructuralEngineering /Soil Foundation Engineering

Experience Required -

a) Total professional Experience in bridge projects -

Aggregate minimum 20 years of professional experience in minimum 3 countries (which may

include their home country) with minimum two years in foreign country (other than home country).

b) Experience in Similar Capacity* in Design/Construction/Construction Supervision of Bridges (Bridge Projects either Cable stayed or Cable suspension or Extradosed or pre-stressed bridge of 2/4/6 lane for highway/ expressway/rail cum road bridge) with well foundation and piles over Sea/ Creek/ Perennial River/ Estuary with Minimum length of 500mtr -

i) 5 years or more.

ii) Experience in Similar Capacity in supervision of Major Bridge Project (Bridge Projects either Extradosed or pre-stressed bridge of 2/4/6 lane for highway/ expressway/rail cum road bridge on basis with minimum bridge length of 500 metres)

c) Experience in Design of bridge projects - Experience in similar capacity* at least 2 Bridge Projects either or extradosed or pre-stressed bridge of 2/4/6 lane for highway/expressway/rail cum road bridge with minimum bridge length of 500 mtrs, having span not less than 125 mtrs each over Sea/ Creek/ Perennial River/ Estuary with well foundations and piles.

d) Experience in Similar Capacity Supervision of Rehabilitation and repair of major Bridge either Extradosed or pre-stressed bridge of 2/4/6 lane for highway/expressway/rail cum road bridge over Sea/ Creek/ Perennial River/ Estuary with minimum two spans not less than 125 mtrs - Minimum 2 projects (having experience of minimum one year in project).

f) Experience in Similar Capacity* of Bridge Project fundedby Multilateral/ Bilateral Funding

Agency(ies). - Experience of 2 years in at least one Project.

g) Familiarity with the language and the conditions of South & Southeast Asia including India Region -

i) Experience in South & Southeast Asia - Minimum 2 Years

ii) Experience in India - Minimum 1 Year.

Similar Capacity includes the following positions

i) On behalf of Consultant: Team Leader/ Resident Engineer (Construction Supervision/IE/AE).

ii) On behalf of Contractor: Project Director/ Project Manager (Construction/ Construction Supervision)

iii) In Government Organizations: Superintending Engineer (or equivalent) and above.

Duties :

Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
Prepares technical specification sections.
Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

Graduate in Civil Engineering.
