Your Community

The tech team is the engine room of Adventus.io, responsible for the technical development, direction and alignment of our products. It provides engineering practices, development, release management and issue resolution so we can deliver world class experiences for students in study abroad market while delivering superior value and experience for our partners.

Your Position

As a QA Engineer you will be driven by wanting to provide the highest quality products to our customers.

Your Impact

You will work collaboratively alongside the quality assurance team, design team, product leaders and engineers, in an agile environment, where you will play a meaningful role in both manual and automated testing.

Your Backstory

• A computer science or engineering related degree (or similar)
• At least 3 years experience working in a quality assurance role
• Experience in an agile TDD/BDD environment with the ability to manage time constraints and prioritize your workload
• Hands-on experience in manual test case writing, test planning, test execution, and issue reporting
• Hands-on experience in frontend automation testing with Java and Selenium. (or similar)
• Moderate level of Java skills for test automation and understanding of the test automation concepts
• A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company s success
• Strong interpersonal skills, you communicate technical details articulately - simplifying complexity and can get others on board with changes and new processes
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and creative problem-solving skills

Your Contribution

• Owning the quality assurance of the application modules and quality control of the releases
• Coordination and follow up on sprints, test results, and sprint reviews
• Liaise with the design development teams during test execution to identify, communicate and resolve issues
• Perform manual test case development, execution and maintenance of all types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, usability, integration and acceptance
• Write, execute and maintain automated test scripts and test frameworks using the Java language
• Be an evangelist in the test automation and support, help lead the test automation efforts within the team
• Provide test estimates (for manual automation), prepare bug reports, maintain test environments
