Job Description
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability, performance, and security of our applications, APIs, and services. You will work on a range of tasks including cloud operations, automation, and system management, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automate cloud operations, deployments, monitoring, and performance optimization tasks to streamline processes.
- Design, build, and maintain high-availability clusters and environments for databases and applications across multiple infrastructures.
- Develop and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for new applications and services.
- Perform system troubleshooting and resolve issues across platform and application domains.
- Create and improve tools for system observability to enhance monitoring and logging capabilities.
- Assess new technology options and vendor products to keep the infrastructure up-to-date and competitive.
- Collaborate effectively with team members at all levels, including Architects and Tech Leads, to finalize implementation plans for various applications and services.
- Create and maintain build and release pipelines for legacy and new services to ensure zero-downtime deployments using Jenkins.
- Develop automation scripts to ensure consistent deployment, maintenance, and operation of products and services.
- Develop and manage AWS cloud solutions following best practices and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities.
- Regularly review existing systems and recommend improvements for better performance and efficiency.
- Manage networking patterns for cloud-hosted services and ensure security best practices are followed.
- Deploy, release, and manage production systems, maintaining system reliability and performance.
Key Requirements:
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Jenkins, Python/Bash, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Proficient with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, including their clustering for high availability.
- Experience with source control management (SCM) tools like Bitbucket or GitHub, and knowledge of patch management, threat detection, and prevention.
- Knowledge of networking patterns for AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Experience with deployment automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Chef, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Understanding of AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, EBS, and EKS, and familiarity with data stores like Elasticsearch and Redis.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Loki, Promtail, ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
