Job Description
- Responsible for automating server setup configurations across a distributed infrastructure
- Develop support PowerShell DSC resources
- Scripting and automation of manual processes. Auditing of existing scripts to make them more optimised and improved
- Work closely with the dev/test teams to evolve the on-premise infrastructure
- Develop, maintain, and enhance PowerShell scripts and modules.
- Utilize version control systems, primarily Git, to manage codebase.
- Integrate and manipulate data from various sources, including REST APIs.
- Apply deep knowledge of the Windows Operating System for script optimization and troubleshooting.
- Utilize SQL for database management and data retrieval tasks.
- Manage and deploy code through NuGet repositories.
- Collaborate with data science teams, employing scripting and visualization tools to provide insightful data analysis.
- Understand and contribute to enterprise IT operations, ensuring scripts and tools align with business needs and infrastructure.
- Work within a team environment, contributing to peer code reviews and knowledge sharing.
- peaking your mind, collaborating in a cross-functional team with strong engineers;
- Provide technical support for engineering escalations.
- Large-scale log collection, analysis, and dashboard creation via Big Data tools;
- Review DevOps monitoring tools and respond to or resolve outstanding issues;
- Building Powershell scripts to deploy, configure, and maintain IaaS solutions for internal and customer-facing applications hosted by Geotab;
- Create and maintain documentation regarding configuration, processes, and security;
- System-level tuning and debugging in on-premises.
Skillset:-
- Good Windows PowerShell scripting experience
- Solution-oriented mindset
- Hands-on with PowerShell Workflows development
- Experience in developing PowerShell DSC resources
- Experience with continuous integration tools
- Pipelines and objects
- Modules and functions
- Error handling and debugging
- Remoting and jobs
- Scripting best practices
- Experience with Pester for PowerShell code testing.
- Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Skills in additional programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.
- Experience in ServiceNow development.
Qualifications:-
- 5-10 years of PowerShell development experience.
- Proven experience with version control, preferably Git.
- Experience with REST API integration.
- Thorough understanding of Windows OS internals.
- Practical experience with SQL.
- Familiarity with NuGet repositories.
- Basic knowledge of data science principles and visualization tools.
- Understanding of enterprise IT operations.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
