Job Description
- Responsible person to handle the electrical department in plant ensuring that electrical and automation services are provided in efficient manner within given time frame to ensure smooth operation of plant in safe and reliable manner.
- Drive safe and reliable operation of electrical system in plant to ensure safety of plant personnel and property
- Maintain 100% compliance with the preventive maintenance as per the schedule
- Should have knowledge of earthing system and ensure that it is properly implemented and maintained at palnt
- Liaise with government officials, as and when required, especially for electrical inspections of the site
- Provide regular training to the team of electricians to increase their skillset and create awareness on electrical awareness and LOTOTO
- Raise purchase request and select the correct item to be ordered to maintain the inventory of critical spares/ consumables for the smooth operation of plant. Also, to ensure timely renewals of AMCs
- Prepare and maintain all the required documentation of the department like SOPs, work instructions, MOCs etc
- Co-ordinate with management and the department in-charges in order to decide the priority and nature of the work/ project to be performed
- Hands on experience on reading & preparing electrical drawings on any of the software like AutoCaD, Smart sketch etc
- Review and approve drawings/ technical specifications of any new equipment/ panels/ instrument to be purchased
- To produce all necessary documentation for commissioning, training, maintenance and maintain all necessary electrical testing and certification records.
- Prepare and provide the cost estimation for any electrical material and work for upcoming projects & plant modifications
- Preparation of detailed plan and budget for execution and commissioning of project
- Responsible for selection, installation and healthy operation of instruments in plant. Having good knowledge of electrical safety system, & LOTOTO procedures, strong knowledge of safe electrical working culture.
- B.E/ B.Tech in Electrical engineer/ Electrical & Electronics Engineer
- 04 years experience as Electrical engineer/ Electrical & Electronics in industry
- Experience of working in a FMCG or manufacturing organisation (preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of production parameters and procedures and standards
- Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams, written orders, control gauges, manufacturers operating instructions, and to record plant information
- Able to give remote support in case of urgency
- Have good knowledge of advanced technology available in market in terms of switchgears, instruments etc and should ensure that the new installations in the plant are state-of-the-art type
- Trained and have full knowledge of electrical regulations and safety acts (IS/IEC)
- Proven E&I fault finding skills with experience doing so in an extraction plant and refinery environment strongly desirable
- Excellent IT skills with knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft projects, etc desirable
