Department Head - Safety (West)

• To drive the Process Safety management system across the Business Units.
• To provide technical support to line managers as subject matter expert in Process Hazard Identification and Risk Management for effective implementation.
• Strengthen Process Risk management studies such as HAZOP, QRA, LOPA, SIL etc
• Review, coach mentor the Process Safety Information/ Process Technology , Process Hazard Analysis documentation process.
• Providing guidance, oversight and conduct audits on site for management of change ( MOC ) processes and pre-start up safety review process ( PSSR ).
• To drive the standardization of the Operational Procedures s for the High Hazard Operations in the business.
• Integrate the ABG sustainability frame work standards into the business for driving the PSM in projects Operations.

• Monitoring, analyses identifying the improvement opportunities of leading and lagging key process safety performance indicators.
• To work closely with Technical Knowledge Integration Council team to develop PSM Annual Business Plan KPI s, Long term strategies for Operating Assets.

• To support the implementation of Mechanical Integrity Quality Assurance Program of the operating units.
• To monitor the Process Safety Observations compliance process across the business units.

• Assist in analyzing Process Safety Incidents and advice Plant management for implementation of process safety improvement plans and actions.

• Driving PSM Competency improvement programs to Occupational Safety Field Operational Personnel.
• Apply knowledge on awareness of learning from incidents (LFI) process and responsibilities in reporting, investigation or incident follow-up.

• Assist Site and Department Leadership with development of Process Safety related improvement activities.
• To drive process safety audits across the business and advise improvement activities.
• To advise on integrating/ developing /sustaining practices on work permit Management contactor safety Management

• Carrying out technical review, assessment, and evaluation of Safety, Lifesaving, Fire Fighting, Fire and gas, and protection/prevention equipment.
• Strengthen Process Emergency response by applying consequence modeling and physical Effects modeling techniques such as QRA.

• To support the DCA business As a Process Safety Subject Matter Expert (SME), to work with the organization on Greenfield/Brownfield capital projects and operating assets to meet the vision of enabling excellence in safety and the mission to integrate safety in business and drive safety performance.
• The role provides cost-efficient hands-on risk assessment support, as well as the analysis, review, and management of project and asset risks.
• The role manages the interface between Company stakeholders and third-party contractors, to ensure delivery of safe and reliable safety services to achieve excellence in safety performance.
• This role will undertake or support PSM implementation, and continual improvement of Operating assets Projects.
• The role will contribute to the development and review of Business PSM Standards and procedures.
