Job Description
- Liaising with design head to plan and develop new designs
- Accurately interpreting and representing clients ideas and producing sketches, designs and samples for presentation to clients;
- Making up sets of sample designs
- Assessing and approving completed items and production standards
- Working independently, ensuring that projects are completed on time
- Visiting sites and other sources of ideas for designs
- Using specialist software and coral, illustrator programs to develop a range of designs
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new design and production techniques and textile technology
- Liaising with vendors and artisans to prototype products.
- Strong knowledge of 3D modelling and rendering
- Strong knowledge of Coral and/or Illustrator
- Creative flair and artistic ability
- A good eye for colour, texture, and patterns
- Excellent attention to detail
- An interest in handicrafts, artifacts, and an understanding of trends;
- Good communication and team working skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and a budget
