Hiring of Senior Manager - Power Electronics

Role & responsibilities

• Strong understanding of power electronics fundamentals a must

• Sound knowledge of electrical & electronic design especially in Inverter and converters design

• Support the development of technical , product roadmaps ,design standards and procedures

• Experience of full Hardware development life cycle including requirements management, design, development, verification & validation, qualification & certification testing.

• Experience in designing and implementing different AC-DC, DC-DC converters & motor inverters for different applications, Understanding on magnetics, including the selection of switching devices, gate driver selection, modulation techniques and filter design.

• Expertise in modelling , simulation, and control of power electronics convertors

• Knowledge on Drives, VFD, motor controls, & modulation techniques for three-phase invertors.

• .Experience in power electronic design & development for 1.5KV and 4000 A product lines

• Design, implement, and test new power electronic control software to meet documented requirements for power conversion products (Wind, Solar, Drives)

• Develop FMEA and risk mitigation plans

• Ability to integrate power electronic systems into larger electrical systems, understanding system-level interactions, and ensuring seamless compatibility.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting power electronic systems, conducting failure analysis, and implementing corrective actions to resolve issues and improve product reliability.

• Awareness of UL and CE electrical safety requirements and EMC requirements relevant to power converters

• High voltage switching power supply test and development

• Test and debug of prototype and production power supply assemblies

• Design verification testing of completed products

• Support bid and proposal activity by leading feasibility assessments, concept development within area of expertise, execution of trade studies and creation of technical content

• Work with a multi-disciplinary engineering development team that includes controls engineering, power conversion design, mechanical design, control hardware design, and Integration / Test

• Interface with test technicians, assembly personnel, engineers, customers and suppliers

• The candidate will provide direction to design or technical staff, and may lead a team of professional staff
