Job Description: Manager - Logistics and Import/Export Sales/Operations

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Logistics and Import/Export Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international trade, logistics management, and regulatory compliance. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth movement of goods, efficient operations, and adherence to global trade policies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Logistics Management:
• Plan, execute, and oversee the logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Optimize logistics workflows to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with domestic and international carriers for seamless transportation of goods.
2. Import/Export Operations:
• Manage and oversee all import/export activities, ensuring compliance with global trade regulations.
• Prepare, review, and manage shipping documentation such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
• Liaise with customs brokers and regulatory agencies to resolve any compliance or clearance issues.
3. Vendor and Partner Management:
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to achieve cost-effective and reliable service levels.
4. Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and corporate policies.
• Monitor changes in import/export regulations and implement necessary adjustments to processes.
• Mitigate risks related to logistics and trade by proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
5. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
• Lead and develop a team of logistics professionals to ensure high performance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as procurement, sales, and finance teams to align logistics with business objectives.
• Provide training and support to staff on import/export and logistics best practices.
6. Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Analyze logistics and trade data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare reports and dashboards to track KPIs such as delivery times, costs, and compliance metrics.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 3-7 years of experience in logistics, import/export operations, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and logistics practices.
• Proven experience in managing end-to-end logistics and import/export operations.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and logistics software.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
