The candidate will be responsible for managing the end to end Payroll accounting including but not limited to the allocation of employee payroll cost based on timesheets recorded, getting the actuarial done for retiral benefits, processing the payroll on a periodic basis post-checking the data, preparing the schedules required by auditors and recording the bonus provisions on a monthly basis to ensure timely and accurately closure of Payroll accounting and disbursals. Managing the Payroll audit with Big4 for all Group entities. This role will also require interaction and dialogue with other departments/ stakeholder to complete their task smoothly within and outside finance. He should be able to quickly and accurately supply the required information to CFO office. Candidate should be self-motivated and a go-getter. He/She should be able to manage a team of 1 person
Key Accountabilities:
- Allocation of employee cost on respective PIDs/cost centers based on timesheets to ensure the recording of employee cost on correct PIDs.
- Validation and tracking of payroll data before disbursing the same on a monthly basis,
- Collating and sharing the Leave and Gratuity data with Actuarial to get the Actuarial valuations on a timely basis,
- Ensuring the closure of monthly payroll accounting including expense and liabilities along with schedules on Working day 2,
- Getting the audit done from Internal and External auditors for Payroll related areas,
- Liaison with HR team to get the inputs and closure of audit on a timely basis,
- Ensuring the correct recording of time sheets and costs in the ERP,
- Review the accounting entries and approve the same on a timely basis in ERP.
Qualification, skills and experience:
- MBA/Graduate with an experience of 8+ years managing the payroll,
- Experience in getting the audit done from big 4 firms,
- Candidate should have exposure of working with Industry/ Corporates.
- Sound knowledge of Accounting of Retiral benefits,
- Strong working experience in Microsoft Excel,
- Good verbal and written business English communication skills,
- SAP/Netsuite working exposure is an additional advantage.
