Transportation Specialist

Who we are looking for:

The Transportation Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the Transportation department by facilitating dispatch operations. This role utilizes processes and procedures established by the Transportation department to coordinate transport orders, resolve logistical issues, and contribute to the seamless and effective operations of the ACV Transportation product. This role focuses on maintaining accurate data, managing communications, and ensuring smooth operational workflows. The Transportation Support Specialist will be highly organized, proactive, and capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently.

What you will do:

• • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience

  • Manage incoming communications after hours (8pm-8am EST) through email, Salesforce Chatter, and R&I platforms.

  • Provide updates on orders, respond to inquiries, quote prices, and place or adjust orders as needed.

  • Troubleshoot issues and escalate when necessary to ensure timely resolutions. 

  • 3rd Party Load Board Status Syncing, verifying that all posted orders remain active and promptly process any cancellations to keep systems synchronized.

  • Ensure orders on 3rd party load boards are up-to-date and prices are accurate.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies when orders become out of sync.

  • Approve or deny pending offers from car carriers after hours (8pm-8am EST).

  • Process orders canceled by transporters, repost them if applicable, or escalate issues when troubleshooting is required.

  • Conduct Order bundling, Identifying opportunities to bundle orders that share similar pickup and delivery locations.

  • Combine orders into larger bundles and adjust pricing accordingly to optimize efficiency.

  • Collaborate with onshore teams to ensure seamless handoffs and continuity in operations.

  • Provide support for special projects or ad hoc tasks as assigned by management

  • Other duties as assigned

What you will need:

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Proficiency in written English communication.
• Experience in logistics, transportation, or similar operational functions.
• Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and transportation management systems is a plus.
• Ability to manage and organize high volumes of data and communications.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
