Role: Deputy Manager - Procurement

Location: Bangalore

Reporting to: AGM, Procurement

Reporting Team: Yes

This position is based out of Bangalore Regional Office and leading Bandwidth Procurement & Management of approximately 100 Cr INR, along with managing Global IT vendors for their services/AMCs.

Responsibilities:

• Driving Strategy of Bandwidth procurement along with managing Global IT vendors for their services & AMCs end to end.
• Evaluate and identify the global/corporate vendors according to the needs of the organization and stakeholders.
• Being an IT Procurement Manager define clear and specific on the requirements for equipment and services.
• Need to Negotiate contracts on pricing, terms and service level agreement.
• Establish standards and policies for efficient and fair procurement policies.
• To be involved in purchasing of Servers, Data Center Space, Dark Fiber and Bandwidth requirement.
• Purchasing of Laptop, firewall, Wifi Setup, Mobiles, VC Equipment, BIO Metric and Face Deduction Equipment, Air conditioners, Diesel Generators, UPS, Software and required accessories of IT hardware.
• Own various trackers and MIS reports like Circulating monthly savings tracker, OPEN PO, Spend Analysis Report, OPEN PR, Bandwidth feasibility and delivery trackers.
• To prepare Bandwidth Provision reports, processing bandwidth service related invoice & ensuring timely payment to the vendors
• Responsible for various AMC contracts of Servers, ACs, DGs, UPS, Safety systems, Routers, Switches, ONT, OLT, Firewall License, Domain Renewal and Video Conferencing devices.
• Closing the yearly renewals of various software, technology licenses of Broad band and Video Technology.
• Will be responsible for agreement and cost closure for the renewal of Technical & IT Manpower.
• Should be a champion of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) with reliable and up-to-date cost data on the same. Should Include (supplier) costing like manpower costing using market analysis / Intelligence (e.g., through concept competitions) that improve our cost positions and added benefits especially in IT / Tech categories
• Understand and validate the purchase requisitions (PR) from User Departments
• Prepare RFP/RFQ and invite quotes from vendors
• Prepare comparative statements of the quotations received from vendors to select best source of supply
• Track and monitor savings generated through vendor development, negotiations, part development/product substitution or any other such initiative
• Ensure conversion of PR to PO (Purchase Order) with a minimum turnaround time
• Follow up with vendors to ensure on-time material/service delivery.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

1. Procurement experience of 5 years or more, preferably in telecom or data centre industry.

2. Education: Engineer preferably from IT/telecom/electronics and/or MBA

3. Strong analytical, negotiation, vendor management and team management skills

4. Well verse with ERP-SAP will be preferred.

5. Strong verbal and written communication skills / IT skills

6. Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

7. Strong customer focus

8. Must be able to understand the needs of the business and incorporate into the procurement processes

9. Demonstrated negotiation skills
