Senior Associate - Compliance Payments

Were looking for an organized and driven employee to join our growing team at HGS. This position will work closely with our compliance and operations team on Profession tax payments.

Level - Senior Associate 

Department -PT Payments Compliance

Experience 3-5 years of related experience

Location Vashi, Navi Mumbai

Primary Responsibility

 • Develop and implement an effective legal compliance program 

• Create sound internal controls and monitor Professional Tax payment activities 

• Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses

• Evaluate business activities (e.g. payment activities) to assess compliance risk 

• Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation 

• Educate and train employees/team members on PT regulations and industry practices 

• Address client/team concerns or questions on PT compliance 

• Keep up-to-date knowledge of PT compliance and business goals 

• Publishing daily/weekly/monthly MIS with respective team/managers 

• Setting up meetings with clients. 

• Preparing and submitting PT returns for clients. 

• Handling communication from clients and tax authorities. 

• Auditing all PT forms for completeness and accuracy. 

• Providing P tax planning to clients. 

• Securing repeat business and expanding the client base. 

• Analysing tax data submitted by the client to maximize the outcome for the client.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• Concise communication over email, phone, and in-person 

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Professional Tax   

• Self-starter, sense of urgency, and works well under pressure 

• Meticulous attention to detail and analytical skills 

• Data Driven approach 

• Time management skills are imperative to success. 

• High level of customer service orientation required
