Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cost Accounting:
• Monitor and analyze the plant's production costs, including raw materials, labor, and overheads.
• Prepare and review standard costs for products and processes.
• Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities through process improvements and efficiency gains.
2. Inventory Management:
• Oversee the accounting and valuation of inventory, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of inventory movements and stock levels.
• Perform regular inventory reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Assist in preparing annual budgets for the plant, including capital and operating expenses.
• Conduct monthly forecasts to ensure financial targets are met and provide variance analysis to plant management.
4. Financial Reporting:
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for plant performance, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in the preparation of month-end closing activities and ensure compliance with accounting policies and standards.
5. Internal Controls & Compliance:
• Maintain robust internal controls around financial transactions and processes, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and local regulations.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
6. Process Improvement & Analysis:
• Conduct financial analysis to identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and profitability improvements.
• Support plant management with financial insights to guide decision-making and strategic initiatives.
7. Support Operations:
• Work closely with the operations team to understand production plans, variances, and operational challenges.
• Support the operations team in tracking KPIs and financial impacts of production changes.
8. Ad-hoc Financial Support:
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed by senior management.
• Assist with new product launches, capital expenditure projects, and other initiatives as required.

SAP Expertise:

• Manage and maintain financial data in SAP.
• Generate reports and analyses financial data using SAP tools.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records.
