Job Title: Graph Database Developer (Neptune & Neo4j)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Development: Design and implement graph database solutions using Amazon Neptune and integrate it with other AWS services to build scalable and high-performance applications.
• Neo4j Exposure: Utilize your knowledge of Neo4j to support hybrid or legacy graph database systems, offering insights into optimal graph design and query structure.
• Graph Data Modeling: Work on modeling complex real-world problems as graphs, ensuring efficient querying and scaling of graph databases.
• Query Optimization: Write and optimize Gremlin, SPARQL, and Cypher queries for Amazon Neptune and Neo4j, ensuring optimal performance and minimal resource usage.
• Integration & ETL: Integrate graph databases with other backend systems, design ETL processes, and ensure data consistency across multiple sources.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Backend Developers to understand data needs and design efficient graph-based solutions.
• Data Analysis: Perform data analysis and provide recommendations on how graph data models can optimize existing applications or processes.
• Documentation: Document the graph database schema, queries, architecture, and best practices for future reference and team collaboration.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve issues related to graph database performance, queries, and integration with other services.
• Stay Current: Keep up with the latest developments in graph database technology, specifically Amazon Neptune and Neo4j, and suggest improvements to the overall database infrastructure.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with Amazon Neptune: Hands-on experience with Amazon Neptune (including setup, configuration, and optimization) is a must. Familiarity with Gremlin and SPARQL for querying graph data in Neptune.
• Exposure to Neo4j: Familiarity with Neo4j for graph database design, query optimization, and performance tuning. Knowledge of Cypher query language is highly preferred.
• Graph Database Concepts: Strong understanding of graph theory, graph data models, and best practices in graph database design, including nodes, edges, and properties.
• Programming Skills: Proficiency in Java. Experience in integrating graph databases with backend systems via APIs and services.
• Cloud Technologies: Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services), especially services like AWS Lambda, AWS S3, AWS EC2, and AWS CloudFormation.
• Data Modeling: Ability to design and implement efficient graph data models that scale with large datasets and complex relationships.
• Query Languages: Proficiency in writing and optimizing graph queries using Gremlin, SPARQL, and Cypher (for Neo4j).
• Database Performance Tuning: Experience in tuning graph database queries and understanding graph traversal algorithms for optimal performance.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify performance bottlenecks and issues related to graph data storage or querying.
• Version Control: Familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative development.
