Summary:As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of applications and providing technical support to end-users. Your typical day will involve troubleshooting and resolving application issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the improvement of system performance and stability.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Expected to perform independently and become an SME.

Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.

Contribute in providing solutions to work-related problems.

Troubleshoot and resolve application issues reported by end-users.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve complex technical problems.

Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

Contribute to the improvement of system performance and stability.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest innovative solutions. Professional & Technical Skills:

Must To Have Skills:Proficiency in Sybase Database Administration (DBA), Sybase Database.

Strong understanding of database administration principles and best practices.

Experience in performance tuning and optimization of Sybase databases.

Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures for Sybase databases.

Familiarity with SQL scripting and query optimization.

Good To Have Skills:Experience with other database management systems such as Oracle or SQL Server.

Solid grasp of Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.

Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools for database performance.

Knowledge of database security and access control mechanisms. Additional Information:

The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Sybase Database Administration (DBA).

This position is based at our Pune office.
