Summary:As an Application Lead, you will lead the effort to design, build, and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact. You will be responsible for managing the team and ensuring successful project delivery. Your typical day will involve collaborating with multiple teams, making key decisions, and providing solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Monitor batch jobs. Report/resolve issues and support batch scheduling changes

Monitor batch & console alerts. Report using escalation matrix.

Apply SOP's to troubleshoot issues.

Perform IPL/HMC operations, POR and support system maintenances.

Handle system breakdowns - Emergency IPL, IPL with dump

Identify & report risks to SLAs and engage stakeholders

Monitor System performance, software, disk/tape utilization
Professional & Technical Skills:

Experience to lead Mainframe Operations & Scheduling team

Expertise with tools like TWS, Control-M, CA-7, ESP, System Automation, Mainview.

Knowledge of z/OS system functions, DB2, CICS, IMS, ADABAS for ability to troubleshoot/guide team to fix the issues

Handle escalations and provide recommendations/updates as needed

Well versed with incident lifecycle management

Experience to perform people management tasks - track performance and behavior. Client communiation
