Summary:As an Application Tech Support Practitioner, you will act as the ongoing interface between the client and the system or application. You will be dedicated to quality, using exceptional communication skills to keep our world-class systems running. With your deep product knowledge, you will accurately define client issues and design resolutions. Your typical day will involve providing ongoing support to clients, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring smooth system operations.
Roles & Responsibilities:EMC Networker

Responsibilities include providing 24/7 remote support.

Basic understanding on the Networking concepts

Responsible for installation and configuration of EMC, Networker.

Basic understanding on the different OS platform AIX, Linux & Windows.

Audit application backup policies and environments to ensure integrity of backup and recovery activities

Participate in the recovery of application environments where required.

Ensure integrity of supported environment.

Hardware /software fault detection and vendor liaison Liaise with customer accounts as required

Perform root cause analysis for major issues and provide workarounds to ensure business continuity.

Change Management:Prepare Implementation plan, rollback plan and test plan, risk and impact analysis for critical or complex changes. Review the change plan and prepare documentation for L1 & L2 engineers.

Assist in the creation of processes and procedures required for service delivery.

Perform routine, planned and emergency maintenance (change planning and implementation) of storage data canter equipment.

Identify single-point-of-failure and plan to mitigate the same.

Fulfil critical / complex service requests.

Perform Enterprise Backup service packs, patch updates, and recommend firmware upgrades.Requirements:

Experience and in-depth knowledge for Design, Implementation and maintenance of EMC Networker, Avamar, Data Domain, backup technology

Primary Skills Technical:Good experience in backup administrator and Hands on experience with Backup tools like EMC Networker , Avamar and Data domain.

Mandatory Core level expert (Primary -EMC Networker and Secondary (Avamar and Data domain)

Dell EMC Networker administration & troubleshooting.

Backup failure management and different restoration Migrations Performance troubleshooting and fine tuning

Proficient in creation / configuration of backup policies such as file systems, SQL, VMware, Oracle & DB2 database.

Experience on problem and vendor management.

EMC Networker on all O/S.

Problem Determination & analysis skills

Excellent team working & Positive Attitude

Ability to quickly assimilate technical & non-technical

In depth Knowledge on ITIL processes like Incident management, Problem Management and Change Management processes

Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
Additional Information:

The candidate should have a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in EMC Networker Backup and Recovery Systems.

A 15 years full-time education is required.
