Summary:As a Test Automation Engineer, you will transform testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function through the use of quality processes, tools, and methodologies significantly improving control, accuracy, and integrity. Evolve more predictive and intelligent testing approaches based on automation and innovative testing products and solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:1.Participate in training programs to develop expertise in testing methodologies and tools for Oracle Utilities applications.2.Collaborate with development teams to understand business requirements and assist in defining test cases based on functional specifications.3.Conduct various types of testing including functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing under the supervision of senior testing specialists.4.Document test cases, test plans, and test results accurately and maintain thorough records of testing activities.5.Execute automated and manual test cases, report defects, and track them through resolution.6.Gain experience with Oracle Utilities testing frameworks, including OATS (Oracle Application Testing Suite) and other relevant tools.7.Assist in performance testing and load testing to ensure applications meet scalability and performance standards.8.Engage in continuous learning and improvement to enhance testing skills and knowledge of Oracle Utilities products.
Professional & Technical Skills:1. Basic Programming:Familiarity with programming concepts and languages such as Java or Python2. SQL:Basic understanding of SQL for validating data in databases.3. Testing Methodologies:Basic knowledge of software testing principles and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).4. Test Case Design:Understanding of how to design test cases based on requirements.5. Test Automation Tools:Familiarity with test automation concepts and tools (experience with any testing tools is a plus).6. Defect Tracking Tools:Understanding of defect tracking and project management tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
