Role Description:Managing and maintaining the performance, availability, and security of MySQL databases. This role requires deep knowledge of MySQL architecture and strong skills in database tuning, high availability solutions, backups, and performance monitoring.

Must have skills:MySQL Database Administration

Good to have skills:Work Experience on Microsoft SQL Server / Oracle /PostgreSQL DBA. Basic knowledge on multi cloud environment.Job requirements:Key Responsibilities (This field is Mandatory)

3-5 years of hands-on experience as a MySQL DBA.

Manage MySQL database servers in various environments.

Monitor and optimize the performance of MySQL databases, including index tuning, and memory management.

Implement backup strategies, perform regular backups, and ensure timely recovery processes in case of failure.

Set up and maintain high availability solutions such as replication (master-slave, master-master) and clustering.

Implement and maintain security best practices for the database environment, including user access controls, encryption, and vulnerability assessments.

Utilize monitoring tools to ensure the health and performance of the MySQL database environment and perform routine database maintenance tasks.

Diagnose and resolve database issues, ensuring database uptime and performance.

Work closely with development teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth integration and operation of the database systems.

Maintain documentation related to the database infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
Technical Experience (This field is Mandatory)

Proficient in MySQL architecture and administration.

Experience with MySQL replication, clustering, and high availability solutions.

Expertise in monitoring, query optimization, index tuning, and performance tuning.

Strong understanding of MySQL backup and recovery techniques.

Experience with cloud platforms (Azure) and managing MySQL in cloud environments.

Familiarity with database monitoring tools like MySQL Enterprise Monitor.

Knowledge of MySQL security best practices

Experience in database security audits

Basic knowledge of scripting languages (Shell, Python) for database automation.

Familiarity with Linux operating systems and basic system administration.
