Summary:About The Role :PeopleSoft DeveloperA PeopleSoft Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom solutions within the PeopleSoft application suite, including modules like Human Capital Management (HCM), Financials, and Supply Chain, by creating and modifying application engine programs, components, interfaces, reports, and queries to meet specific business needs, often collaborating with functional analysts to translate requirements into technical specifications and ensuring seamless integration with other systems.Key responsibilities may include:Requirements analysis:Understanding business requirements, translating them into technical specifications for PeopleSoft customizations and development.Design and development:Designing and coding PeopleSoft application components like pages, menus, workflows, self-service features, batch jobs, reports, and integrations using tools like Application Engine, SQR, and PeopleCode.Data manipulation:Writing SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and load data within the PeopleSoft database.Interface development:Creating and managing data interfaces between PeopleSoft and external systems using tools like Integration Broker.Testing and quality assurance:Performing unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing to ensure functionality and quality.Documentation:Creating detailed technical documentation for developed solutions, including design documents, code comments, and user guides.Maintenance and support:Troubleshooting issues, resolving production problems, and applying PeopleSoft updates and patches.Required skills:with minimum experience 8 + years Proficient in PeopleSoft development tools:Deep understanding of PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, and SQL.Knowledge of PeopleSoft modules:Familiarity with specific PeopleSoft modules like HCM, Financials, or Campus Solutions based on project needs.Software development lifecycle (SDLC):Experience with the full SDLC process, including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.Problem-solving skills:Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.Communication skills:Effective communication with business users, functional analysts, and other technical teams to understand requirements and explain technical concepts.
